About Me:
Reme and his wife Linda, are transplants to Buhl where they are pursuing the quietude and neighborliness of small-town living. Having moved from Boise, they are remodeling the historic Presbyterian Church on Main St into a warm and spacious home. He brings vision to the chamber as its president and also serves on the Buhl City Planning and Zoning Commission.
He earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing and entrepreneurship from Golden Gate University, is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Professional SCRUM Master (PSM), and works for St Luke’s Health System. He holds a Writing in the Sciences Certification from Stanford, and is an entrepreneur and technologist at heart. He got his first job working at a gas station at the age of seven, holds patents for shotgun related products, and worked in small/local business and corporate settings such as MCI Worldcom where he helped generate revenues over $100M annually. Prior to joining the Buhl Chamber of Commerce, Reme is not new to nonprofits and has served in several organizations including, co-chair of the Placer County Committee on Aging, VP of the Sacramento Alliance on Aging, Co-chair of Morgan’s Journey (a youth cancer awareness nonprofit), and the ten year President of Southfork Homeowners Association.
Reme is committed to leveraging his experience to helping build a better community.
“My vision for Buhl, is to keep as much of our local dollar local, attract spending from around the valley, and help build a community of growing businesses. If we don’t work to adapt to the changes that have already hurt our city, we’ll continue to decline. Change isn’t easy for some, but its necessary for all if we are to have a community our children will want to live in and come back to.”
